This red figure skyphos by Makron (c. 480 B.C.) shows Demeter to the left and her daughter, Persephone, to the right, each holding a torch and stalk of wheat. Between them, in a winged chariot, is Triptolemos, whom they are sending off to teach agriculture to the rest of the world. See detail below.
