Research Interests

Dr. Muich’s research focuses on the way warfare shapes narratives about ancient societies, specifically in the construction of gender.  She researches Greek epic and Greek tragedy in particular, focusing on the Trojan War saga.  She is also interested in narrative theory, the ancient world in film, and classical reception.  As a faculty and administrator in the Honors College, she is also interested in including the study of the ancient world in new pedagogies for honors students.
